Yes I’m still posting songs here! i’m just more focused on preparing a live show which will happen by beginning of july max for sure! (my ultimate deadline)
But in the meantime, i also played a lot of piano and the last two days i’ve been recording this non-stop to the point that i just look at myself and the mirror and it’s pretty scary! a shower and a shave will be really welcome! but i’m pretty happy with this new song! I hope you enjoy it, my first one on the piano!
Looking forward to hear your comments and suggestions!
What I like about it:
I put a lot more airiness in my voice and i like the result, i like the piano
What I’m not so sure:
The end is not very tight, i added the drums as the last step instead of the first one.. so the rythm is a bit off… also maybe the screaming is a bit exaggerated for the song
Lyrics
Dreams Of Yours Don't wanna do you wrong I still miss you so bad But it's getting long I don't know where I'm at And how do I proceed? Don't wanna forget you But forget you're not here I honestly need to You said oh Follow your dreams Your desire to explore My obsession to write If someone sings along Will i feel worthwhile? Tonight, we watched stars in the park She laid close to me Didn't know how to act I don't know how to be anymore You said oh Follow your dreams I'm never really sure Whether or not, whether or not There is a place for us In dreams of yours, in dreams of yours You said oh Follow your dreamsPosted under Rock

Ok enough thinking during the last month, now let’s get back to work!
During the break, i met a few musicians Read the rest of this entry »
Posted under RockAlright, here I’m halfway into the project, time to think a bit about what’s going right and what’s not… First of all, I still haven’t played any live show.. I have one possible other musician with whom I am practicing once in a while, but the truth is I need to meet a lot more people in the scene… So my plan is to join a few existing bands filling for whatever instrument they need (i am trying out for bassist/back vocals next saturday in a pretty decent band) and then I will get back among the musicians crowd and hopefully meet the right people… and well you never know which band is gonna take off too..
Also, I was thinking that if I’m going for the ballads and soft songs, I really need to learn how to play piano properly.. So I’ve started some intensive learning last weekend and will keep doing so in the coming weeks..
Basically, for now, my priorities are rehearsing for auditions to join some bands with talented people, learn their songs, and learn piano… Along the way, I should post a song once in a while and I will reassess the strategy in the end of January
The second half should start soon!
later!
Louis

Half way there!! (26th song of 52!) So I’m back from Spain, I had a great time, but now it’s time to get back to business! Is there a worse month than November? I always get depressed during November and I tried to explain why in this song. Hope you like it… overall i’m happy with it, I think it’s entertaining.. and the good news is this dreaded month is almost over!!
Please don’t hesitate to leave your comments if you listen to the song!
See you next week!
What I like about it:
I like the chorus, i think it flows pretty well
What I’m not so sure:
The verses are ok but could be a bit more varied… The voice is not very clear at some places, the guitar could use some variations too
Lyrics & Chords
Surviving November Verses: C E7 F G Chorus: Am Fmaj7/A Gsus2 C E7 ( Tune a half-step down) VERSE 1 Of all the ways to go insane Of all the ways to lose your mind I found one that's pretty damn amazing Yes, it works every single time November wind tears out your soul The freezing rain then makes you numb A sudden fatigue now swallows you whole You give up your hope to see the sun CHORUS In my eyes, can you see a sign of life? In my eyes, can you see a sign of life? In my eyes, can you see a sign of life? In my eyes, Doctor will I survive? Doctor, will I survive November? VERSE 2 Don't dare turning on your TV Out there everyone has gone nuts I already couldn't cope with anxiety And i don't even have The Shot Still, I venture to buy my groceries Stay focused, i need to be strong But is it really necessary? A whole two months of Christmas songs? CHORUS OUTRO It'd be so much easier, if you'd be here, if you'd be here It'd be so much easier Surviving NovemberPosted under Rock

I don’t think this week’s song is gonna make history, but it was an experiment how far Pop i can go, now the answer is “definitely too far!” It was fun however to play Read the rest of this entry »
