I would have really liked to have more time to play with that song, cause i think the chorus had lots of potential, but once again the speed at which i need to write and record is killing me, it was a lot easier for the first songs when i didnt work full time… but anyways this part is my problem! Also this week, when i was done recording all the guitars i just noticed i forgot to put my capo so everything was recorded way too low and i had to start all over and record the whole thing with vocals in like 4 hours, that was lots of fun!
What I like about it…
I like the chorus melody and distorted voice that repeats the last line… I like the song overall how it could be if I spent more time recording it better.
What I’m not so sure…
I don’t like my voice at all during the verses, i find i was speaking a bit too much (by opposition to singing). The lyrics arent that bad at the beginning but after this its a bit easy stuff nothing very spectacular
My mission this week is to find more time to spend on this project, cause I don’t think i’ve spent enough since I’m back in Montreal
Again sorry for the delay, still no Internet at home (thanks to Bell who came set it up and its still not working) and as usual comments good or bad are always appreciated!
Lyrics
I Can Barely Walk I could hear through my door This sound that i adore Heard you laugh and i thought I have no more to ask for (No more to ask for) The next day I see you Running to the bathroom Locked yourself up to cry With me, you don't have to hide (Don't have to hide) I'm not here for your smile Or the good times I want to be the one by your side (Never will leave you Never will let you down) Forget the tears Forget the pain Forget the fears Of yesterday Cause i can barely walk (When you can barely walk) Cause i can barely walk Forget the bricks Raining on you Soon thisll cease I promise you I can't say that i got Such a perfect record Sometimes i did struggle With my troubles But I'm back in force (Now I am yours) When this hell cools down Let's leave this town To a safe place where we can't found When this hell cools down Let's leave this town No worries, nothing to think about Chords capo 3e Bm G Em F# bridge G A F# BmPosted under Rock

When I first heard the verse, I thought it sounded like something I heard before. I tried to find which song it was, but found nothing. So maybe it’s just a feeling. Anyway, I listen to the song a few times to try and find what I thought was similar and the only thing that came out is that I like that song. Contrary to what you find, I like the way you sing the verses. Like the ‘but I’m back in force’, it seems like you truly mean it, you almost seem mad the way you tell it. That’s the kind of energy I like. Keep the good work
I think I really like this song… except one little part in the verse. The way you sing the sentence “I have no more to ask for” is so-so I think… I have one or two suggestions, but whooops, I can’t remember how to record it. I need help, please! The chorus is perfect - easy to remember, easy to sing - and the effect at the end of the bridge is really really cool! The back vocals are also good all along the song. So, another great song on your list!

This song is really good. I really like it. I don’t have something to say against it. The chorus is great, the back voices are well timed and the effects are suporting perfectly the main voice.
In that one, special effects bring some new things. The song get it’s proper identity with that. Also, Chorus is melodic and easy to retain.
One constructive comment: this is the exactly the same chord sequence as song 1. Song 6 is almost exactly the same sequence as well, but in the major. Not necessarily a problem (clearly it would be hard to find 52 completely different sequences), just something you should be aware of.
very interesting comment jon, its true that now that i have a few songs done i need to do a bit more comparisons to what i already did before deciding on the chords… thx!
